A Countryside Soiree \\ Queenstown Country Lodge

The Queenstown Country Lodge is a boutique luxury lodge nestled between the lower Shotover River and Lake Hayes, only 10 minutes from downtown Queenstown, spilling with country charm and luxury alpine features. Last month the Wild Hearts and Together Journal teams had the pleasure of staying at the Queenstown Country Lodge during our Wild Hearts Queenstown Wedding Fair. Arriving down the tree-lined drive to the beautiful alpine styled lodge, set on 5 hectares (11 acres) of secluded gardens and farmland with the rolling hills and blossom-filled trees in the backdrop. It was such a treat to have this peaceful, and beautifully serene place to escape to amongst the craziness of Wild Hearts.

There are 6 private rooms and 5 bathrooms inside the lodge, uniquely styled and inspired by the surrounding landscape. Each room can be booked separately or you can book the full private lodge, which we would highly recommend for bridal parties or small weddings. With 11 acres of serene countryside, there is even options for a marquee wedding on the property or simply a place to retreat to after you say I Do – as it is located directly in the middle of Queenstown and Arrowtown.

It is such a gorgeous place to get ready, or celebrate with a beautiful brunch on the sun-drenched patio looking out to the dreamiest countryside with the snow capped mountains in the background. We spent our mornings here, with a coffee in hand and the most beautiful catering by one of our faves Franks Pantry – who are based just down the road in Frankton and have also recently launched event catering! Delicious grazing platters, filled with locally made goodness, homemade jams, sweet muffins, slices and the most gorgeous little granola jars.

And at the end of the busy day, we grabbed the champagne and jumped in the garden spa (hot tub), and enjoyed the quietness and serene surroundings of the countryside while still being in the heart of Queenstown – the perfect way to end the evening celebrating under the stars at Queenstown Country Lodge.
