You Light My Fire – A Wild, Foraged, Romantic Adventure
A beautifully wild styled shoot inspired by the raw beauty of nature, set amongst the giant Kahikatea trees that circle the rustic and rural Coromandel venue ‘The Hay & Wood’. These talented vendors used natural elements and the surrounding environment to create a celebration space that gives a sense of escapism and wilderness.
An abundant gathered feast from local markets, cooked over an open fire stacked from foraged branches- the ritual of creating a celebration meal infused with that distinct smoky tint that embodies wilderness.
We’re enamoured with the rustic styling by Asha of She Creates He Makes, assisted by Brooke of Dooley Street Styling, it’s a perfect blend of materials- tanned leather, iron, wood textures and bracken creating a sense of wild adventure. Foraged florals by Kelly of Where the Wild Things Grow in beautifully dried golden tones sit against the delicate lace of the bride’s gown by Brooke Tyson Ritual. With incredible photography by Tinted Photography, we can almost catch the scent of smoke on the wild air and feel the grass beneath bare toes. Far from formal long tables with structured seating plans, this group of talented vendors has come together to highlight the wild wonder that comes from blending a love story with all things natural and found.
“We need the tonic of wilderness. We can never have enough of nature.” – Henry David Thoreau
